Haichen Nie, adjunct faculty of our IMPH department, received the Industrial Research Achievement Award recently from IPEC. It is the first international award for IMPH.
Congratulations Haichen! We are proud to have you as part of our department.

Dr. Haichen Nie, adjunct assistant professor of Industrial and Molecular Pharmaceutics, has received the Henk De Jong Industrial Research Achievement Award in Excipient Technology from International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council Foundation. This award is given annually to an individual who has made significant research contributions to excipient technology and the novel applications of excipients in pharmaceutical sciences while working in an industrial setting. The award also acknowledges the challenges faced by industrial researchers, who often cannot publish their research findings as freely as their academic colleagues due to industrial publication restrictions and concerns over intellectual property. Dr. Nie is an alumnus of the department who had conducted his PhD study under the supervision of Prof Steve Byrn.
