The College of Pharmacy at Purdue University is seeking applications to fill a faculty position in the Department of Industrial and Molecular Pharmaceutics.
The position is for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor. The faculty member is expected to establish an externally funded research program and will teach courses in the undergraduate, graduate, and professional (PharmD) programs. It is expected that the individual will collaborate on various research activities within the department and in multidisciplinary, multi-institutional research throughout the University. This is a nine-month (academic year) appointment.

The candidate must have expertise in fundamental and applied research in one or more areas related to the pre-clinical development of pharmaceutical products, including design, pre-formulation, delivery, evaluation, and manufacturing.

The Department of Industrial and Molecular Pharmaceutics encompasses multidisciplinary research and teaching in the areas of drug development, biotechnology, pharmacokinetics, drug delivery systems and manufacturing technologies. Qualifications: The candidate must hold a PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as pharmaceutical sciences, chemical or biomedical engineering, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, biophysics, or a closely related field by the start of the appointment. The candidate will have an outstanding record of scientific and technical accomplishment, an exceptional potential for world-class research and a commitment to undergraduate, professional, and graduate education.
