Dr. Tony Zhou Receives the 20021 Young Investigator Award for Pharmaceutics Journal

Dr. Tony Zhou, Associate Professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy, receives 2021 Young Investigator Award from the Pharmaceutics Journal. This award recognizes young researchers who have produced ground-breaking research and made a significant contribution to the advancement of pharmaceutics and biopharmaceutics.

Pharmaceutics is scientific journal which provides an advanced forum for the science and technology of pharmaceutics and biopharmaceutics. It has an impact factor of 6.321 in 2021

Aprecia Webinar Series

Purdue University in collaboration with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and Aprecia Pharmaceuticals, the only company with an FDA-approved 3DP product, will be presenting a webinar series on Pharmaceutical 3D Printing.

The Technology Forum series will consist of presentations by experts on the field, starting from the basics of 3D printing, to the product functionality, market differentiation and IP protection opportunities offered by the technology.

Dr. Tony Zhou Promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure and Awarded University Faculty Scholar

Dr. Qi (Tony) Zhou

Dr. Qi (Tony) Zhou, an assistant professor of Industrial and Physical Pharmacy, is promoted to associate professor with tenure effective from August 10, 2020. Dr. Zhou obtained his bachelor degree in Pharmaceutics from Shenyang Pharmaceutical University (China), and worked in a major pharmaceutical company for two years. Upon obtained his PhD in pharmacy from Monash University in 2011, he had received postdoctoral training at the University of Sydney until he joined Purdue University as an assistant professor in 2015.

Bravo Award presented to Jennifer Gray

Jennifer Gray received a Bravo Award from the College of Pharmacy. The Bravo Award provides recognition and reward for substantial accomplishments that extend well beyond regular work responsibilities. Jen’s Bravo Award recognizes her outstanding contributions as our Communications Coordinator, particularly in planning for this year’s Peck Symposium and the LyoHUB consortium annual meeting.

 

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pharmaceutics awarded to Dr. Naila Mugheirbi

Dr. Naila Mugheirbi (Taylor group) has been selected to receive a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmaceutics from the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America Foundation. This fellowship was awarded on the basis of a competitive proposal.
